Leslie Torburn, author of Stop the Stress Habit: Change Your Perceptions and Improve Your Health
Leslie Torburn, D.P.T., a physical therapist for over 20 years, has seen the impact chronic stress can have on a person's physical well being, as well as the impact that continued stress can have on preventing recovery from an illness or injury. Dr. Torburn has several articles published in scientific peer-reviewed journals and is a co-author of a book chapter on walking for fitness. This is Dr. Torburn's first book. Stop the Stress Habit is the result of her own experience in reducing stress in her life and of observing other people's stressful reactions to events. A native Californian, Dr. Torburn lives in northern California with her husband and cat. In her free time, she enjoys practicing Shaolin Kenpo Karate, bicycling, and hiking with her husband and friends.
